Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a 2013 Indian biographical sports drama\r\nfilm directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra from a\r\nscript written by Prasoon Joshi. The story is based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an\r\nOlympian. It stars Farhan Akhtar in the\r\nlead role with Pavan Malhotra and Art Malik in\r\nsupporting roles and Sonam Kapoor in a\r\ncameo. Sports was coordinated by the American action director Rob Miller of\r\nReelSports.
The film starts in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, where a coach says "Bhaag Milkha\r\nBhaag!" The runner is taken back to the memories of his childhood days\r\nwhich haunt him, resulting in him dropping to fourth.Partition of India in 1947\r\ncaused chaos which resulted in mass religious violence in Punjab in British India, killing the parents of Milkha Singh (Farhan Akhtar). He reaches Delhi and\r\nlater meets his sister there. Living in impoverished refugee camps,\r\nMilkha makes friends and survives by stealing with them. He falls in love with\r\nBiro (Sonam Kapoor), but she asks him to live a life of honesty.
